#100awesomedays no.7 – investments and returns

I had a very rewarding day today. My hands and my shoulders are sore but the rug is finished. It took a lot of hard work and hours of relentless crocheting, but in the end, it is all worth it. One rug is done and I feel good about it!

Hard work always pays off. Before you can reap a return, you have to invest first. Before you can harvest, you have to sow. It’s a simple law that nobody can escape. You don’t get anything for nothing. The same holds true in our relationship with God.

Do you want more of God in your life? Start spending more time in His presence. Do you want to see miracles in your life? Invest by increasing your faith. Do you want a more intimate understanding of God? Invest your time wisely and spend more time in the Word.

There is always a return on a Godly investment!

#100awesomedays no.6 – Providence

Providence. describes it as “the manifestation of divine care or direction”, or, “God, especially when conceived as omnisciently directing the universe and the affairs of humankind with wise benevolence”. In simple terms: God’s provision.

I have never experienced Providence like I do now. Things fall into place. Things happen at just the right time. The right people show up at the right time. Money is available when I need it. Words fail me! I am simply amazed at what God is doing. I am blessed and so thankful for it.

God doesn’t have favourites. His Providence is available to you too. His plans for your life are good. He wants to bless you. He wants to take care of your problems. He wants to bring healing and restoration into your life. He wants to carry you when you feel like you can’t carry on. He is waiting just for you to put Him in charge.

Come on. Get out of the boat and start walking in faith. Put God on the throne of your life. Take Him by His word and just hand it all over to Him. His Providence is waiting.

#100awesomedays no.5 – Man in the Air Project

man in the air

On Easter Sunday Jerry got onto the platform with the little house that was built right against the R511 in Hartbeespoort. His home until today, Ascension Day. The reason? To bring awareness in Hartbeespoort of the true meaning of Passover.

Passover is not about easter eggs and bunnies; we as Christians celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus. Ascension Day is not just another day; we as Christians celebration the ascension of Jesus.

For forty days Jerry was up there, waving at the cars that came hooting by. For forty days, he made Harties aware that Jesus is alive!

I am so proud of Jerry. And so thankful for the privilege to have been part of this project. Tonight we celebrate! Tonight we will have soup and vetkoek true South African style! Hats of to Jerry!
