It sounds terrible I know. But there are people who blame God for everything that is wrong in their lives. Especially the things they don’t have! After all, they prayed about it and they stand in faith about it. Unfortunately, that’s all they do!
I remember this little lesson from my mother.
Matthew 6:26 – Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
Yes, God cares about even the birds. Yet, God doesn’t put a worm inside the bird’s nest every morning. The bird actually has to fly down to the grass and look for the bird. Otherwise it will die of hunger.
The same principle applies to us.
The unemployed man can pray for a job; he still has to update his CV, go through all the adverts and apply for all those that are applicable. Otherwise he will stay unemployed until the day he dies.
The student can pray for good results; he still has to spend his time wisely and study hard, otherwise he will fail his exam.
I can compile a long list of examples but I am sure you grasp the concept.
If you want something, pray about it, yes. Believe God for it, yes. But do what you have to do to make it happen. Faith demands action!
